EDUCATION REQUIRED OR DESIRED:
- BS or BA with an emphasis on Information Technology/Information Security OR 20+ years of Information Security Experience.
CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED OR DESIRED:
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification desired but not required.
SPECIFIC SKILL SETS REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 15 years of experience in information security
- At least 10 years specifically in application security
- Strong and deep understanding of the OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities and the means to implement accurate and scalable mitigations to defend against them
- Strong hands on experience in code reviews
- Solid background in threat modeling and threat modeling methodologies such as STRIDE
- Familiar with authentication and authorization protocols
- Ability to work well with various levels of management across departments.
- Policies and process oriented.
- Strong organizational skills and analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- A self-starter, adaptive and flexible to change.
- Ability to stay up-to-date in the ever-changing security environment.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detailed understanding of holistic security systems design, configuration, and operation.
- Ability to manage people.
- Manage and coordinate deployments.
- Strategic thinker with experience creating long-term roadmaps. Able to articulate and execute on a vision while still adapting to the rapidly changing nature of the career field.
SPECIFIC SKILL SETS DESIRED, BUT NOT NECESSARILY REQUIRED:
- Strong Mobile Application Security background
- Software development background
- Technical documentation skills
- Experience working with decentralized teams across multiple time zones
- Teaching experience a plus.
