Senior Electronic Technician and Mechanic

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:    
Education: High school diploma minimum plus extensive college level, military or technical school coursework in advanced/applied electronics.  Trade School or Associates degree is preferred .

Experience: Must have 6 years experience in diagnosing and repairing digital and analog circuits down to the component level, circuit board repair, and 4 years repair experience with automated or microprocessor controlled equipment.

1. Must demonstrate advanced competencies with multi-meters, electronic analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, and other high level test equipment to perform essential job duties.

2. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers, troubleshooting ladder logic, program configuration, software upgrades, and input/output  modules

3. Must demonstrate basic competencies with power and hand tools, circuit board soldering/de-soldering.

4. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills in order to follow instructions and effectively interface with Maintenance and Warehouse personnel and other Company Departments.

5. Must be able to manually lift materials and parts weighing up to 60 pounds.

6. Must have good color vision and perception in order to verify wire, control symbols, and operate machinery.

7. Ability to walk 70% of the time to coordinate manpower and equipment requirements.  Must be able to reach, stoop, kneel, and sit 30% of the time to perform related maintenance work.

8. Must be able to work at high elevations and climb storage racks or equipment ladders as needed.

9. Must be able to do moderately advanced computer interfacing, keyboard input, e-mail accounts, computer based database research, and database maintenance.
