Education |
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or equivalent. |
Experience |
3+ years of copywriting experience for print and digital content, in a corporate, editorial or advertising agency environment. Experience in personal care products, cosmetics, or health/nutrition is beneficial. Experience writing scripts and for social media is preferred but not essential. Bilingual is a plus. |
- A high level of oral and written communications skills is required to interact with employees, sales force and executives.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of writing techniques, creative writing approaches, English and grammar. Must be able to adapt writing style to a variety of audiences. Must be able to synthesize vast amounts of information from a variety of sources in order to arrive at the key points to be communicated. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to be factually accurate.
- Must have excellent organizational and project management skills including the ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing priorities and needs. Must be able to work on several projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Requires ability to influence others; ability to work in team environment; ability to evaluate client direction in terms of objectives and purpose and solve problems. Must be able to keep an open mind when it comes to input from others and maintain flexibility in consolidating multiple points of view.
- Must have good working knowledge of word processing software (preferably MS Word) and PowerPoint in order to prepare articles, presentations, etc. Experience using Adobe Workfront and Salesforce.com is a plus.
- Must have good working understanding of web development, print production processes, etc. to appropriately prepare content.
- Must be proficient in AP Style.
