KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s of Science in an Engineering discipline, preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with significant equivalent relevant experience required.

Experience: 7+ years of progressive experience in maintenance operations, purchasing/acquisition, and MEP/ Industrial project management in regulated semi-industrial, commercial, and laboratory setting (including managing multiple concurrent projects with competing timelines and deliverables). Previous experience managing direct employees, and internal and external contractors is essential.

1. Must have familiarity with and/or strong appreciation for the FDA regulations governing cosmetics/OTC or pharmaceutical products, including but not limited to water quality, electrical integrity, and facility audits.

2. Must possess knowledge in the following areas: HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing.

3. Requires the ability and sufficient technical competence to manage design and upgrade of facility related equipment and services, including installation of pressurized systems and unit operations, boilers, chillers, heat exchangers, feed and effluent treatment systems, electrical circuits and services, air filtration/conditioning/ distribution, all aspects of plumbing and water quality, and general construction in OTC/cGMP manufacturing facilities.

4. Must have ability to read/interpret plans and specifications for any project.

5. Must demonstrate skill in quickly organizing and evaluating diverse information in order to provide solution options to management with an estimate of timing, cost, impact, and complexity of a given solution.

6. Must have strong working knowledge of project/program management, including project planning, establishing budgets, negotiating agreements for services, coordinating contractors and consultants and completing projects within the constraints of scope, schedule and budget.

7. Requires financial management and estimating skills to assist in the preparation of the Facilities Management department annual expense budget.

8. Requires financial management and estimating skills to assist in the preparation of the Facilities Management department annual capital budget for new construction and renovation projects .

9. Must possess excellent customer service skills to assist all levels of employees. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to work effectively with employees and vendors.

10. Must demonstrate strong initiative and self motivation in order to work independently on multiple projects with only general direction.

11. Must be flexible and maintain the ability to adjust to changing situations.
12. Organization skills necessary to coordinate multiple workstreams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.

13. Must possess a strong attention to detail in order to follow projects through to completion and ensure accurate execution and documentation.

14. Must be able to utilize Excel, Word and Project software to create correspondence, maintain records and reports and track projects costs and status. AutoCad proficiency with BIM, REVIT and Navisworks experience preferred.

15. Direct experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) is preferred.

16. Experience with CMMS preferred.
