Job Description

Facilities Leader will supervise the delivery of preventative, corrective, and general maintenance for the Mary Kay’s manufacturing facility and utilities for a 460KSF 24/6 OTC drug and cosmetic manufacturing facility including manufacturing, laboratory, and supporting common area spaces (workplace services excluded). Other duties include, but not limited to, daily assessments of systems, maintain a clean working environment, and other various duties, while adhering to all safety, health, and cGMP standards. The Facilities Leader will be responsible for performing installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment and controls located throughout the buildings. Supervises and collaborates with onsite staff in the installation, repair, and maintenance of the site infrastructure, building equipment and controls located throughout buildings. Works with internal costumers to oversee all facilities related projects, contractors, vendors, systems, and procedures. Conducts routine and on-going assessments of the buildings envelop, infrastructure, and systems. Responsible for performing facilities related site hazard analysis inspections, job safety audits, develop and publish preventative maintenance tasks according to company standards.

About the Role/ Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Team by providing leadership, technical resource, and planning assistance.
  • Prioritize work while considering the facility team’s activities as well as the needs of the groups we support. Confirm scheduled and unscheduled work is completed on-time.
  • Responds to all facility-related issues and emergencies 24/7.
  • Coordinates the implementation of a comprehensive preventive maintenance program and revising it as needed, for specific location and equipment requirements. On-site management, training, and mentoring of the Facility Department.
  • Provide open lines of communication and excellent support to the various groups we support.
  • Responsible for the proposal of cost estimates for project, upgrades, rebuilds, and standard parts inventory. Oversee onsite contractors.
  • Role model behaviors that display teamwork, respect, and professionalism. Demonstrates the willingness to learn as part of the organization’s continuous improvement process.
  • Works in a safe manner and promptly reports hazards identified in the work environment.

 

 

Skills & Experience

Education: Bachelors of Science in an Engineering discipline, preferred, or Bachelor’s degree with significant equivalent relevant experience required.

Experience: 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining typical building systems such as steam, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and HVAC systems preferably in cGMP manufacturing facility or other highly regulated industry. Building automation experience is a plus; 5+ years’ experience in a leadership/supervisory role.

  • Must possess analytical skills to forecast and manage budgetary responsibilities.
  • Strong people and communication skills.
  • Good understanding of automated processes.
  • Skills in problem solving and troubleshooting during pressured situations.
  • Skills in blueprint and schematic reading and interpretation.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to teach and mentor.
  • Must be able to utilize Excel and Word to create correspondence, maintain records and reports and track projects costs and status.
  • Experience with CMMS preferred.
  • Direct experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) is preferred.
