KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related engineering or science related field.
Experience: 10+ years of experience working with technical, regulatory, and manufacturing aspects of FDA regulated consumer products
1. Must possess strong technical skills and experience with GMP in addition to an advanced knowledge of quality audits, statistics, quality improvements, product development, chemistry, and liquid filling operations. Certification by ASQ as a CQM, CQA, or CQE is preferred.
2. Excellent communication, change management and leadership skills are required in order to interface with all levels of management and to coach, train, and motivate technical staff.
3. Must have exceptional knowledge of FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices regulations and excellent decision-making skills to make risk assessments and determine most efficient utilization of resources to accomplish departmental objectives.
4. Must have a good understanding of chemistry, microbiology, and modern laboratory instrumentation to make sound decisions based on the technical information available.
5. Domestic / International overnight travel required approximately 10% of work time.
6. Must be able to stand, sit and/or walk for extended periods of time and able to lift a minimum weight of 20 lbs.
