KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES     

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited four-year college/university.   Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of related experience with legal project management.  Paralegal and law firm experience preferred.

  1. Requires excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with both internal and external contacts in multiple countries and to allow for clear and consistent messaging. 
  2. Must demonstrate ability to learn and analyze legal issues and to identify facts that are important to collect and understand as a part of a legal analysis.
  3. Must be able to read and interpret corporate policies and procedures and to communicate information about the policies to others.
  4. Must be a self-starter, extremely detail-oriented, and capable of delivering against multiple projects concurrently.
  5. Ability to organize, manage and drive project deliverables over an extended period and across multiple business functions.
  6. Strong legal research and analytical skills to identify first level response for legal related matters in an effective and efficient manner and to move projects forward.
  7. Must be highly proficient in creating presentations and possess excellent presentation skills for the purpose of communication and training efforts.
  8. Requires excellent human relations and communication skills, tact, diplomacy, and a high level of professionalism and confidentiality to interface with legal department team members, Privacy Compliance Team members, outside counsel, all levels of management, employees across all divisions of the company and in all markets, the independent sales force, consumers/data subjects, government officials, and others who may inquire about compliance efforts. 
  9. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  10. Must work well in a team environment, with tight timeframes and deadlines.
  11. Must demonstrate flexibility, dependability and a positive attitude.
