KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field or equivalent. An advanced degree, such as an MS/MBA in a similar field is desirable.

Experience:

10 years of professional Human Resources Business Partner, including 3 years prior management experience.

1.            Expert knowledge and understanding of fundamental Business and Human Resources to proactively develop and manage innovative human resources programs.  Flexibility and willingness to support a complex multi day/shift customer base.

2.            Highly developed influencing and collaboration building skills and a high level of sound judgment and discretion in order to effectively communicate and work with both employees and management (up to the Executive level) regarding sensitive and confidential issues.   Must be able to filter confidential information, determine appropriate counsel, what to communicate and to whom.  Actions impact employee trust, corporate integrity and employee turnover. Acts as a role model and ambassador of the Mary Kay culture.

3.            Must be forthright, receptive, helpful and persuasive, with the competence, stature and presence to establish credibility across varied segments (and geographies) of the organization.

4.            Strong organizational development skills and the ability to facilitate and manage change effectively within an organization to contribute to the establishment and implementation of meaningful Human Resources-related policies and procedures.

5.            Strong analytical skills to identify and analyze trends and to develop specialized reporting concerning compensation, turnover, staff/workforce planning, feedback surveys and training issues.

6.            Strong problem solving, negotiation, and exceptional leadership skills order act as a consultant and business partner to Company executives, manage employee relations, performance development and disciplinary issues and provide leadership to staff members.

7.            Strong Written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with all levels of employees, to create communication tools for employees; write organizational memos, promotion announcements for executives, PIP documents and performance reviews.

8.            Knowledgeable of appropriate labor related laws (EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA).  Ability to develop, implement and enforce appropriate policies and procedures necessary to attain business objectives.

Familiarity with Microsoft products in order to maintain records, perform analyses and communicate effectively within the Company.
