Skills & Experience:

Education:  High School Diploma or Equivalent with a technical certification or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred

Experience:  2+ years in manufacturing maintenance

Additional Skills & Abilities:

  Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

  Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, P&ID's, blueprints, and schematics.

  Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems and basic programming is a plus.

  Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  Excellent communication skills within and between different teams.

  Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

  Basic computer skills in using the Internet, word, excel, and Outlook.

  Must be able to frequently stand, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach, and move equipment and machinery weighing up to 60 lbs. in order to repair, monitor, and maintain processing equipment.

  Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and crouching.

  Manual dexterity is required for the use of tools and measuring instruments.

  Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (e.g., heat, cold, noise).

  Certification in sanitary welding is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  May occasionally be exposed to heat, cold, and outdoor/inclement weather conditions.

  This job requires frequent exposure to loud machinery noise and frequent exposure to dust/powders, dirt, fumes/gases, and odors.

  This job requires exposure to hazardous waste such as spent alcohol or other substances designated as hazardous waste by the Environmental Protection Agency.

  This job is subject to other hazards such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, electrical current, chemicals, and high places.

  Frequent overtime, long shifts, and night or weekend work may be required.

  Work schedule may change based on business need
