Plant Engineer

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical, chemical, electrical, process, packaging or industrial engineering.

Experience: 5 years of experience in engineering project management in the cosmetics, pharmaceutical or food industry.

1. Must possess technical knowledge of packaging and processing design and electrical control techniques which apply to both areas of operations.

2. Able to demonstrate thought leadership and influence beyond regular functions.

3. Able to develop in-depth knowledge and advanced problem-solving skills and an awareness of Mary Kay priorities to achieve stated results.

4. Able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills to provide advice and overall technical direction for projects. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to function effectively in stressful, fast-paced situations, with the personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self. Upholds, lives and delivers core values of the company.

5. Able to demonstrate the knowledge of design engineering techniques, tools and principles.

6. Able to demonstrated strong project management and interpersonal skills and the ability to direct/motivate multi-functional project teams.

7. Able to demonstrated problem solving, trouble-shooting and strategic thinking skills.

 
8. Able to demonstrated scale-up and commercialization experience.

9. Ability to develop excellent written and oral communication skills required.

 
10. Must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally overnight approximately 20-30% of the time.
