Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent applicable experience in Business, Marketing, Communications, or eCommerce.   Project Management certification is a plus.

Experience: Relevant work experience in digital marketing for 3 or more years.  Three years of previous web merchandising experience using Salesforce.com technology including Commerce Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud, Adobe Analytics, or similar technologies. Expertise and knowledge in the online space (i.e., web, email, social and mobile), including trends and technologies. A high level of technical understanding of website structures and e-commerce modules.

  1. Must possess a high level of project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with aggressive deadlines.  Must be self-sufficient, organized, and be able to gather and analyze information to develop efficient and effective solutions to business problems.  
  2. Has a deep knowledge of digital marketing practices including content targeting strategies, ecommerce, SEO, email, database, mobile and social marketing.
  3. Has a solid grasp of IT functionality within web infrastructure. Ability to foresee challenges in local markets with implementing specific technology.
  4. Proven use of online analytics and consumer data in order to interpret results, identify opportunities, and drive strategic marketing decisions to maximize sales, conversion rate and overall customer experience.
  5. Must be creative, solution focused and willing to work with others to identify fresh ideas.
  6. Requires both a high attention to detail as well as broad strategic thinking abilities to create launch plans, content management across all channels and communication strategies.
  7. Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
  8. Expected to handle multiple projects at once and be able to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities and be comfortable taking direction but also managing upward.
  9. Must possess a sense of urgency, be proactive and display confidence as project leader, demonstrating strong collaboration, flexibility and diplomacy skills.
  10. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with management and provide direction to Europe staff in the execution and optimization of interactive marketing tools and programs that is consistent with company objectives. Must have excellent presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.
  11. Global minded and flexible approach; requires cultural awareness and sensitivity, keeping all markets in mind when creating strategies and implementing initiatives.
  12. Must be a Brand Ambassador for the Mary Kay Brand and ensure all tactics adhere to Branding guidelines.
  13. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suites (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and a proficiency in Adobe Suites (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) and Google Analytics is preferred.
  14. International travel required (most of time independently) up to 15% of the time to support the needs of the European region.
