KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related field and/or work experience in Records Management. Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation is preferred.

Experience: 7+ years of experience in records management in the public or private sector and at least two years of supervisory experience; will have experience implementing and supporting the Laserfiche Enterprise Content Management application throughout an organization.

1. Must have a working knowledge of records systems and their application including form management, micrographics, archives, manuals, reprographics, word processors and mail management.

2. Demonstrated competence in records management and their application including inventory, development of retention schedules, management of media types, file classifications systems and techniques and principles supporting critical records systems.

3. Prior experience developing Record Retention Schedules, policies and procedures.

4. Must have prior experience leading a team and providing coaching and direction for the team.

5. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently.

6. Must have the ability to perceive and analyze problems, develop solutions and make recommendations.

7. Must have advanced PC skills.

8. Must have excellent organizational and planning skills.

9. Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written and the ability to train others.

10. Ability to manage and communicate across functions including International.

11. Ability to lead projects involving resources from various functions such as IT, Business partners and other RM team member.

12. Must be a self-starter.

13. Knowledge of internet concepts and high level systems knowledge.

14. Must be resourceful and proactively address the needs of the department.
