Position: Product Integrity Analytical Laboratory Intern
Job Description:
The summer intern will be working with the Product Integrity Analytical laboratory team. He/she will learn about the physical and chemical stability of Mary Kay products and how that relates to determining a product’s shelf-life. The intern’s primary focus will be on laboratory testing of cosmetic samples. Daily tasks may include: Testing plan initiation, sample management, physical/chemical testing, and data entry/reporting.
This internship will provide he or she with valuable experience in an industry laboratory. 
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
The success candidate will have laboratory experience, and knowledge of principles of laboratory safety. He/she will possess an understanding of analytical and physical chemistry. Strong communication skills, an attention to detail, and the ability to adjust focus to meet the needs of the lab are key.

Position: Material Testing Development Intern
Job Description:
The intern will be working the Materials Science Laboratory to develop and validate test methods for the analysis of raw materials and resins used for packaging components. The primary emphasis of the intern’s work will be on Infra-Red Microscopy and Thermal testing (DSC and TGA methodologies
This internship will provide he or she with valuable experience in an industry laboratory.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:

Job Description:
Intern will assist with daily department activities, such as data entry, literature searches, drafting reports and supporting clinical research. Intern will have an independent research project to present at the end of the summer. Project will be chosen based on the intern’s interests and department needs.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
Proficient in Microsoft Office. Quick learner with background in biology, chemistry or environmental science. Must be a strong writer.
DESIRED:
Previous work experience in an office environment.
Preferred Classification: Sophomore or Junior

Position: Nutrition Research Assistant
Job Description:
Project 1: Research on specific nutrition ingredients and their effects on human health & physiology through searches of peer-reviewed scientific journals to support ingredient claims and functions. Creating & organizing this research to support current and future nutrition projects, including indicating recommended dosages for nutrition ingredients based on available research. Researching competitive products in the marketplace and product positioning and content claims.
Project 2: Assist with specific tasks associated with global Food Safety Initiative in 2021.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED:
Ability to search scientific databases for specific topics. Understand the function of nutrients and botanicals impact on human biochemistry. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
