Job Summary:

Responsible for setting up, monitoring, operating, troubleshooting, and performing minor repairs on all automatic and manual Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems and/or the waste water treatment system. Repairs and performs routine and preventative maintenance tasks on tanks, pumps, blenders, mills, mechanical drives, and gear reducers.

About the Role:

              Sets up and runs Clean-in-Place (CIP) cycles on equipment in processing and disassembles, re-assembles, and sanitizes all associated equipment. Monitors and troubleshoots the CIP system during operation and monitors cleaning chemical levels. Makes all pertinent decisions to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of CIP’d equipment. Performs manual CIP’s on tube fill lines and transfer lines. Completes all associated documentation in processing and packaging for GMP compliance of CIP’ed equipment, and/or operates and troubleshoots the waste water treatment system to ensure the quality of the treated water meets all City of Dallas specifications. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on the waste water system.

              Performs preventative maintenance on all processing equipment including tanks, pumps, mills, CIP system, waste water treatment system, and blenders, exercising caution not to contaminate batches.

              Unloads or assists in the unloading of raw material tankers and completes the associated paperwork.

              Performs routine and specific maintenance and repairs on processing equipment, including replacing bearings, o-rings, and seals in motors and mechanical drives; tightening and replacing belts and chains in mechanical drives; checking and replacing gear oil, air and water filters, air and water line hoses; and greasing bearings.

              Assembles and disassembles gear and mechanical drives.

              This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.

Skills & Experience:

Education:  Trade school and/or High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:  2+ years

Additional Skills & Abilities

              Must be able to frequently stand, walk, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach, and move equipment and machinery weighing up to 60 lbs. in order to repair, monitor, and maintain processing equipment.

              Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate and assemble small objects and pieces of machinery and maintain and repair equipment.

              Vision and hearing required in order to inspect equipment.

              Shift or schedule change may be necessary due to changing business needs.
