Sr Scientist Skin & Clinical Research

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES    

Education  BS/MS/Ph.D. degree in the Life Sciences or related fields.

Experience 5/2/0 experience in research in disciplines relevant to skin research and product claims substantiation.  The incumbent is expected to have several published works and technical presentations in their field of expertise.

Must have technical skills (knowledge and practical experience) in human biology, biochemistry, histology, statistical analysis, and cell culture methodologies.

1. Must have experience in experimental design, protocol writing and statistical analysis.

2. Must have experience with Good Laboratory Practice guidelines and CDC laboratory standards.

3. Experience as it pertains to cosmetic formulation and ingredients - a plus. 

4. Must demonstrate proficient writing and computer skills, including MS word EXCEL worksheets.

5. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required to interact with various levels of personnel within and outside the Company to solve technical problems and to prepare formal written reports.

6. Ability to perform duties under very general direction and independently perform assignments with only general criteria for expected results and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objective of assignments.

7. Must be able to operate a wide variety of equipment use in analytical research and be aware of and recommend analytical techniques and their availability from outside test laboratories.
