Tech Production Line II
KNOWLEDGE,
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
1. Job requires a high school education or
equivalent, including the ability to read, understand and create a variety of
job related instructions and documents, perform practical application of
mathematical calculations to solve specific problems, and use many types of equipment.
2. Must have technical knowledge and
mechanical aptitude to perform set up, daily start up, tuning, minor repair of
packaging machinery typically acquired through 3-5 years of experience in a
production maintenance shop of a manufacturing facility and as demonstrated by
passing written technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude test. Must
demonstrate competencies established for this level, including use of hand and
power tools, ability to use maintenance manuals and knowledge of basic
electrical and pneumatic equipment.
3. Must have the ability to apply
leadership principles in order to effectively coach and motivate team members
and to resolve employee relations issues that occur on a daily basis.
4. Must have the ability to work
effectively in a team environment. Required to actively participate and
constructively contribute to team meetings and related discussion or problem
solving.
5.
Must be able to visually inspect
component parts for compliance with quality standards; check day codes and
other required coding; check product labeling; and match product with the
appropriate carton.
6. Must be able to follow and demonstrate
daily all safety rules and regulations as they apply to the production area.
7. Must possess a thorough understanding
of operational procedures in order to work with supervisors to develop and
execute operational/technical training plans
for production personnel
8.
Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel,
and occasionally move up to 60 pounds in order to start up, repair, debug,
changeover, tune, and maintain packaging machinery.
9. Must have manual dexterity to
manipulate and assemble small objects and pieces of machinery.
10.
Shift or schedule change may be
necessary due to changing business needs.
