Technical Consultant IST

SPECIFIC SKILL SETS REQUIREMENTS:     

• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory 

• Working knowledge of server and desktop operating systems to include Windows XP, Win7, Win8, and Mac OSX

• Understanding of various authentication mechanisms

• Technical and functional knowledge of computer hardware

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

• A strong desire to improve security and deployment practices

• Ability to work well with various levels of management across departments

• Detailed and process oriented

• Strong organizational skills and analytical/problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure

• A self-starter, adaptive and flexible to change

• Ability to stay up-to-date in the ever-changing security environment

• Technical documentation skills.

• Moderate knowledge of cloud based services and security

• In-depth knowledge of security principles and attack vectors

• Stays current with new technologies

• Performs complex technical analysis and design

• Mentors lower-level employees

• System-wide responsibility for complex components or complex projects

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with various groups throughout the organization as well as with 3rd party vendors

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, multifaceted, team environment

• Must be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively.  This team supports all markets and needs to be able to coordinate application release to multiple markets simultaneously.  This team also develops and deploys some new applications and manages new 3rd party integration 

• Experience working with decentralized teams across multiple time zones

SPECIFIC SKILL SETS DESIRED, BUT NOT NECESSARILY REQUIRED:

• Solid public speaking skills.

• Security assessment of hardware and software 

• Experience working with decentralized teams across multiple time zones

• Teaching experience a plus

EDUCATION REQUIRED OR DESIRED: 

BS or BA with an emphasis on Information Technology/Information Security.

CERTIFICATION(S) REQUIRED OR DESIRED:

• CompTIA Security+ and Microsoft Certified IT Professional(MCITP) required

• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification is required

• Other security certifications, such as SANS GIAC, (ISC)2, CompTIA, Microsoft, or Mac certifications preferred.

FOREIGN LANGUAGE(S) REQUIRED OR DESIRED:

Chinese and/or Russian would be helpful but not required.
