Assistant Manager, Brand Marketing
Skills & Experience
Experience: 5+ years in a corporate or agency advertising environment, with proven examples of successful marketing campaigns, or relevant experience in a more general marketing role. Agency, cosmetics, and direct selling industry experience highly preferred. 3+ years of Supervisory experience preferred.
Education: Bachelor/University Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field

- Demonstrates a broad spectrum of global marketing, PR, data analytics, social media, promotions and advertising ideation, program management.
- Must be able to help develop brand experiences from a consumer and Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires a high level of expertise regarding the Mary Kay Product line to be acquired and an understanding of general cosmetics and beauty care consumable and beauty customer segments at a detailed level, as well as understanding consumer and Direct Selling business needs, and Independent Beauty Consultant needs/expectations.
- Must demonstrate diverse thinking and possess the sincere desire to work in a collaborative environment, dealing with numerous diverse cultures and environments and the resultant complexity. At the same time, must be able to balance brand objectives and global strategies with the local, cultural needs.
- Must be a strategic thinker with a broad perspective and, at the same time, demonstrate an acute attention to detail and the ability to execute flawlessly. Must be analytical to spot trends, understand KPIs, and provide global roll-up of marketing programs to offer continuous improvement suggestions and tweaks.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with management and provide direction to internal staff in the development of interactive marketing programs that are consistent with company objectives. Must have excellent presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.
- Must be able to manage agency and internal creative partners and lead them in execution of established vision and objectives.
- Must be self-sufficient, able to prioritize and organize, and possess a high level of time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with aggressive deadlines.
- Expected to be able to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, reliability and professionalism with attention to detail and rapid execution are essential.
- Must be a Brand Ambassador for the Mary Kay Brand and ensure all tactics adhere to Branding guidelines and global social media strategy.
