JOB PURPOSE  

Independently manages/produces live company events. Partners with creative/content producers and vendors to determine staging and cues, based on script copy. Creates and manages highly detailed show flow documentation. Coordinates all on-site support for Event Production group. Responsible for producing event recognition maps. Responsible for all on-site event outline updates and distribution to all partners. Provides support at events for Show Team backstage during the event. Performs all site administrator duties for the Special Events TeamMK site. Oversees the timed outline, backstage layout, and tracks speakers for all events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   

·         Independently manages the production schedule for Event Production, working to ensure all project owners have been included in the pre-production process. Works, with limited supervision from production manager to develop the show flow for each event. Independently reviews all content to format a script for the production company. Analyzes recognition required for each wave of an event, partners with various internal groups such as IST, NSD Services and Sales Force Recognition to develop appropriate recognition reports, and creates plan for creating necessary script updates to each wave of a conference based on this information. For Seminar, manages a team who inputs the updates/recognition into the scripts and reviews and edits their work. Assists with the development of the Technical Review for each event. Responsible for all final archival changes to timed outlines and for posting event documents to archival page on the Events TeamMK website.

·         Schedules and leads periodic meetings with staff to gather ideas for recognition. Employs decision-making skills to create and produce maps illustrating the onstage recognition paths and is responsible for distribution of the maps at the events.

·         ShoFlo support. Put together framework, have good working knowledge of the platform. Be the go-to person to work through any issues with our users and with the ShoFlo support team.

·         During general sessions at Leadership Conference and Seminar, helps manage as a backstage Meeting Coordinator, giving direction to other Show Team members and working with Emcees and Sales Force speakers. Employs quick decision-making skills when necessary. Serves as one of the key communicators during the show for the crew and staff, updating them with any pertinent changes and elevating decisions to higher levels when necessary.

·         Partners with the Expo Project Manager to ensure accurate and effective internal communication to all employees involved with Seminar, Leadership, and Career Conference. Works to market the event with the Event Production Team and external vendors.

·        This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 

Education – Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Event Production. 

Experience – 3 years of experience in an event production-related field, with experience in the Direct Selling Industry desired.

·         Strong project management skills and the ability to successfully coordinate multiple projects under strict time frames are critical to this role.

·     Must have excellent verbal communications skills to communicate with staff members, including executive level employees, as well as members of the independent sales force.

·        An advanced working knowledge of a Windows environment, in particular, Microsoft Windows, Outlook and Excel, is required. Having a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is a plus.

·         Must be self-motivated and results oriented to effectively complete tasks with minimal supervision.

·      Must have the ability to work effectively under pressure executing with a high level of accuracy, in a deadline-oriented environment while receiving direction from multiple individuals.

·         Domestic overnight travel required approximately 5% of work time.
