Associate Art Director

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES    

Education:

Bachelor of fine arts degree in Graphic Design, Communication Arts or Advertising Art or equivalent, plus

Experience:

Minimum of five years of experience in a design-related occupation such as design and execution, photo art direction and 2 years of project management/system administration experience including process documentation, preference in consumer packaged goods.

1. Incumbent must possess an understanding of either beauty or fashion; must also be able to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines and demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with other internal creatives, project owners and outside vendors.

2. Must maintain awareness of the latest [web, print, video or social media] technologies and practices through attending seminars, technical classes, reading industry-specific publications and by frequently studying competitive [web, print or packaging] in the marketplace.

3. Must have advanced knowledge of the following software applications: Adobe INdesign, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, PPT

4. Requires basic troubleshooting skills for computer software/hardware problems that may occur, including applications, printers, networking, etc.

5. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to guide internal and freelance staff, and to interface and negotiate with individuals across the Company and externally, including vendors and contractors.
