KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES    

Education 

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business, Communications, Marketing, Online and/or Social Media Marketing or related field, plus

Experience

5+ years of cumulative work experience in a social media, marketing/advertising/public relations/digital marketing role. Agency, cosmetics and direct selling industry experience highly preferred. Education or coaching experience a plus.

  1. Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, both verbal and written fluency.
  2. Must have integrated marketing experience with demonstrated in depth knowledge and experience with social media planning, channels, and engagement.
  3. Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.), their respective participants, and how each platform can be deployed and cross-leveraged in different scenarios.
  4. Translates complex data into smartly contextualized conclusions and reports. Ability to advise stakeholders on making data-driven decisions.
  5. Critical to this position’s success is the ability to manage multiple routine projects with attention to detail. Expected to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.
  6. Must be self-sufficient, able to prioritize and organize.
  7. Must have strong interpersonal, diplomacy and communication skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, and provide direction to internal staff, executives and IBCs. Must have good presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.
  8. Must be able to collaborate with external Agencies, vendors, internal Creative partners and cross functional teams.  
  9. Must be able to help develop brand experiences from a consumer and Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires an understanding of the Mary Kay Product line and Independent Beauty Consultants to be acquired.
