Machine Technician

Skills & Experience:

Education:  High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience:  3+ years in production maintenance shop of a manufacturing facility

Additional Skills & Abilities

•              Experience in a production maintenance shop of a manufacturing facility, as demonstrated by passing written technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude tests. Must demonstrate competencies established for this level, including use of hand and power tools, ability to use maintenance manuals, and knowledge of basic electrical and pneumatic equipment

•              Must have the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Required to actively participate and constructively contribute to team meetings and related discussions or problem-solving.

•              Must be able to inspect component parts for compliance with quality standards visually, check day codes and other required coding, check product labeling, and match the product with the appropriate carton.

•              Must be able to follow and demonstrate daily all safety rules and regulations as they apply to the production area.

•              Must possess a thorough understanding of operational procedures in order to work with supervisors to develop and execute operational/technical training plans for production personnel

•              Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel, and occasionally move up to 60 pounds in order to start up, repair, debug, changeover, tune, and maintain packaging machinery.

•              Must have the manual dexterity to manipulate and assemble small objects and pieces of machinery.

•              Shift or schedule change may be necessary due to changing business needs.
