KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES    

Education 

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent applicable experience.

Experience

a minimum of 7 years of educational, marketing, or direct sales project management experience, including 3 years of staff management. Strong knowledge of the Mary Kay independent sales force and how they function is preferred.

  1. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required in order to communicate both verbally and in writing with independent sales force members and with other departments to exchange information and resolve problems.  Good presentation skills required to position oneself as a product knowledge authority.
  2. Must possess analytical abilities in order to analyze and interpret results of research, make recommendations, and to plan and manage budgets.
  3. Must have organizational, creative, and conceptual abilities to assist in strategically developing and implementing Consultant programs and promotions.
  4. Domestic overnight travel is required approximately 15% of work time to conduct research, interview independent sales force members, and attend special events and seminars
