KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education:           High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:         5 years of experience in Manufacturing or an Engineering related department.  Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems and the new product development process.

1.            Must have technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude to perform complex start up, debugging, and repairs of packaging machinery, as demonstrated by successful trouble shooting and problem solving techniques typically acquired through 5+ years of production maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility. 

2.            Ability to read and understand technical instructions and reference materials in order to interpret and apply Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions; perform practical applications of mathematical calculations to solve specific mechanical problems; and use many types of equipment.

3.            Must have the ability to communicate effectively in order to interface with multiple internal customers as well as equipment vendors, contractors, and others to meet project requirements.  Must have the ability to utilize courtesy and tact in interactions with department and Company personnel in the exchange of information and resolution of problems.

4.            Must have a working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

5.            Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, deadline oriented, forward thinking, multi-tasked, well organized, and have strong attention to detail.

6.            Must be able to stoop, crouch, kneel, and occasionally move up to 60 lbs. in order to start up, repair, and debug packaging machinery.

7.            Must have manual dexterity to manipulate and assemble small objects and pieces of machinery.

8.            Incumbent must demonstrate a safe work history.
