KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in Business, Communications, Marketing, Online and/or Social Media Marketing or related field.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience in cross-functional corporate or agency environment required, including direct experience with social media and digital marketing. Beauty and/or direct selling experience a plus.

1. The ideal candidate will bring integrated marketing experience with a passion for social media and working in a corporate environment. Critical to this position’s success is the ability to manage multiple routine projects at the same time with acute attention to detail.

2. This role requires a unique blend of analytical and innovative thinking, creativity, and technical proficiency, as well as solid communication and project management skills to contribute to the department’s best-in-class 360-degree marketing execution.

3. Expected to demonstrate understanding of a linked spectrum of global marketing, PR, social media, promotions and advertising ideation, as well as basic program management skills.

4. Must be able to support development of brand experiences from a consumer and Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires an understanding of the Mary Kay Product line to be acquired and an understanding of general cosmetics and beauty care consumable and beauty customer segments at a detailed level, as well as understanding consumer and Independent Beauty Consultant needs/expectations.

5. Must be global minded with a flexible approach: keeping all markets in mind when supporting strategies and implementing initiatives.
6. Must be creative, solution-focused and willing to work with others to identify fresh ideas.

7. Must be an analytical thinker with a broad perspective and, at the same time, demonstrate an acute attention to detail and the ability to execute flawlessly.

8. Strong written and verbal communication skills, reliability and professionalism are essential.

9. Must have good presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences.

10. Must have solid personal judgment, ability to identify misinformation and track disparate information is critical to keeping programs on track.

11. Must be self-sufficient, able to prioritize and organize and possess time and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with aggressive deadlines.

12. Ability to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities.

13. Must be a Brand Ambassador for the Mary Kay Brand and ensure all tactics adhere to Branding guidelines and global social media strategy.
