JOB PURPOSE
Contributes to US social media strategy, objectives, and plans and leads the execution and tactics. Defines the education programs and resources to mobilize the Independent Sales Force on social media. Deeply understands social media platforms, their rules, and best practices for creating a successful social presence to support business growth. Has proven expertise in creating Paid Social Media advertising ad campaigns and is proficient at educating others on how to execute such campaigns. Partners with internal teams to align efforts and messaging regarding social media education. Contributes to overseeing the Company’s digital advertising campaign (e.g. DSP, connected TV, DOOH.) Delivers reports on the programs managed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Project manages all aspects of Mary Kay US social media education plans for the U.S. Independent Sales Force, including content strategy, creative concepting, execution, technology and vendor assessments, tool and system selection, copywriting, development, and deployment.
o Develops tools and resources to encourage Sales Force usage of social media, including content calendars, digital assets, trends, challenges, and more.
o Deeply understands paid social media ads process and develops education for U.S. Independent Sales Force on how to run social ads to promote their Mary kay business.
o Develops education and resources for the sales force on social media guidelines in partnership with the Legal team to help them stay complaint.
o Serves as the main point of contact to answer questions from the sales force.
o Collaborates with internal creative team for larger-scale projects, such as tutorial videos or interviews with Independent Sales Force.
o Oversees social media education at internal events and conferences for the Independent Sales Force, including booth design, printed collateral, on-stage speeches, and presentations or classes.
o Manages a Facebook group for the U.S. Independent Sales Force that serves as another avenue for social media education.
o In partnership with Communications, establishes a strategy for sales force-facing communication to promote social media education resources.
· Uses analytics and data-driven insights to ensure objectives are met and identify new opportunities and recommendations to optimize and grow social media presence and capabilities.
o Delivers meaningful performance metrics and reports to measure social media education effectiveness.
o Uses social listening tools.
o Stays abreast of best practices in social platforms to provide insights. Explores new technology trends, solutions and innovation recommending new opportunities based on the analytics and trends observed.
· Contributes to implement the Digital Advertising strategy for Mary Kay U.S.
o Selects the creative content for ads (running on display, connected TV, Digital Out-of-Home and other digital advertising tactics,) based on Company’s strategic goals, and works with the internal Creative team to execute.
o Partners with an advertising agency on tactics to execute.
o Delivers internal reports based on the data provided by the advertising agency.
· This job requires on-site work at a Mary Kay facility.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education – Bachelor/University Degree or equivalent in Business, Communications/Journalism, Marketing, Online and/or Social Media Marketing
Experience – 3+ years experience in a social media, advertising, communications, marketing/ /digital marketing role. Agency, cosmetics and direct selling industry experience highly preferred.
· Must have integrated marketing experience with demonstrated in depth knowledge and experience with social media planning, channels, and engagement. |
· Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of existing and emerging social media platforms (TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) · Knowledge of paid social media advertising, specifically on Meta |
· Translates complex data into smartly contextualized conclusions and reports. Ability to advise stakeholders on making data-driven decisions. · Experience working in social listening and/or analytics programs |
· Critical to this position’s success is the ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Expected to deal with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. |
· Must be self-sufficient, able to prioritize and organize. · Must have strong interpersonal, diplomacy and communication skills to effectively communicate, collaborate, and provide direction to internal staff, upper management, and the Independent Sales Force. Must have good presentation skills and be comfortable presenting in front of large audiences. · Must be able to collaborate with external Agencies, vendors, internal Creative partners and cross functional teams. · Must be able to help develop brand experiences from a consumer and Independent Sales Force point of view. This requires an understanding of the Mary Kay Product line and Independent Beauty Consultants to be acquired. · Demonstrated proficiency in writing is required. · Bilingual skills in Spanish is preferred. |
