KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education |
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Spanish, Translation, Journalism, Communications or a related field, plus |
Experience |
3 - 5 years of related experience writing, editing and translating both into Spanish and English in corporate communications. |
- Must have demonstrated fluency in Spanish typically acquired through college coursework in Spanish, native born Spanish speaker, English language fluency and proficiency or membership with the American Translators Association.
- Excellent proofreading, spelling, and grammar skills in both languages are required to edit and write communications. Must be aware of cultural differences as this position supports the Spanish-speaking independent sales force in 22 countries.
- Must have good PC skills and be proficient with MS Word.
- Must possess experience using a Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) application, such as SDL-Trados.
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment in order to meet established timelines.
- Travel might be required to attend Company special events, seminars, etc.
