KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Experience 3+ years of accounting experience
- An understanding of GAAP and internal controls, the preparation of journal entries, the accounting treatment of manufacturing accounting transactions, and how to generate reports.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of integrated ERP systems and the relationship of Finance data and processes to other areas in the Company. Ability to understand the implications of system errors on unit costs or financial statements.
- Technology: Utilizes digital tools to perform tasks at a high level of productivity. Experience with Tableau, PeopleSoft Financials, and JD Edwards is highly beneficial. Strong knowledge of general ledger, query, and reporting. High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially advanced Excel, is beneficial.
- Influence: Builds and maintains trusting relationships by actively listening to stakeholders and backing up opinions with facts, knowledge, and logic. Good verbal and written communication skills to interface with personnel at all levels both in the U.S. and internationally and with external auditors to provide support and for issue resolution.
- Storytelling with data: Organizes and structures presentations or communications in a way that is easily understandable to the audience.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to exercise extreme discretion in dealing with confidential information including financial and audit information.
