Responsible for supporting the efforts of a division of the Sales Development team to positively impact sales by providing the division with proactive motivation, information, business consultation, and educational support. Develops trusting relationships with and assists members of the independent sales force (in particular Go Give Area Sales Directors).  Operates as a liaison between the independent sales force and the Company and facilitates the communication of information to the independent sales force on a variety of topics including commissions and sales promotions.  Provides additional support to the Director, Sales Development on various projects and special events.




1.      Supports the Director, Sales Development for an assigned division of the independent sales force to achieve maximum sales goals and positively impact Company profitability.  Fosters a relationship with the Go Give Area Sales Directors (Sales Directors without a National Sales Director) and provides educational and leadership support through direct communications and the sponsorship and development of educational programs and engagements.  Proactively builds relationships with and supports Top Go-Give Sales Directors. Provides proactive business consultation to critical target groups (e.g., Top 100 Go-Give Sales Directors, Top 100 Bubble Levels).  Provides and ensures responsive customer service to Go-Give Sales Directors in concert with other members of the Sales Force Development team and Mary Kay organization.

2.      Operates as a liaison between the Company and the Go Give Area Sales Directors and facilitates the communication of information to the independent sales force regarding commissions and sales promotions. Communicates the interests and concerns of the independent sales force in departmental and interdepartmental meetings; escalates areas of immediate concern to appropriate business leaders within the Company.  Understands and communicates Company core values, goals, and objectives to ensure that the Go Give Area Sales Directors uphold the principles of Mary Kay.  Provides counseling and emotional support and helps redirect energy and focus; frequently involves highly confidential and sensitive issues requiring utmost discretion and tact.

3.      Provides leadership to Associate(s) and/or Coordinators Sales Development in the administration of independent Sales Director production calls, letters, relinquishment procedures, and issues regarding non-conformance with contractual obligations.  Works closely with Sales Development Associates in processing independent Sales Director probations and grants exceptions as appropriate. Addresses escalated issues from Associate(s), Sales Development that are a result of the monthly termination meeting.  Assists Director, Sales Development in the exception request process.

4.      Creates in-person and virtual programs and events that train, recognize, and inspire the Sales Force. Attends Company-sponsored events including annual Seminar, Leadership Conference and Career Conference and officiates at remote site locations. Coordinates remote site Seminar activities to create a more exhilarating atmosphere and provide a meaningful experience for attendees. Assists with Go Give Area meetings at Company-sponsored events offered to the independent sales force, specifically Leadership Conference and Seminar. Represents the Sales Development team at new Independent Sales Director Education Week and presides over activities. Emcees, sets the tone of the event, provides educational classes, and performs other event-related tasks as necessary.

5.      Understands and is capable of communicating the intricate details of the marketing plan (career path) to members of the independent sales force and to internal departments. Utilizes a thorough knowledge of how various situations affect the marketing plan in order to explain Company decisions. 

6.      Manages the development of the monthly Go Give newsletter for a division of the Sales Development team designed to motivate, inform, and educate Go Give Area units. Ensures appropriate publishing guidelines and timelines are met. 

7.      Makes presentations, engages participants, and offers business consultation at a minimum of four independent sales force events including guest nights, retreats, director’s meetings, and workshops. These events are designed to elevate sales, increase collaboration, promote retention, and strengthen relationships between the Company and the independent sales force.

8.      Participates in and leads various teams to actively support the continued success of the independent sales force and the Company. Serves on the departmental creative teams aimed at proactively supporting independent sales force goals and achievements.



Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or related field preferred.


5+ years of sales management, sales support, or business growth experience dealing with complex, sensitive human relations issues in order to analyze, motivate, and provide solutions to drive sales and meet customer needs. Must have experience analyzing compensation, marketing, sales, or business growth plans. Experience with business growth or entrepreneurial environments is preferred.

1.      Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (including public speaking) to form a strong relationship with the sales force.

2.      Must have knowledge of business management and sales growth techniques, and experience with business coaching.

3.      Must have demonstrated ability to collaborate well with others to achieve common goals.

4.      Must have demonstrated ability to influence others in individual and team environments.

5.      Must have demonstrated ability to analyze data and reports quickly and make sound recommendations.

6.      Must be able to utilize a PC and spreadsheet software to prepare sales and recruiting analyses.

7.      Must be able to travel approximately 30 - 35% of the time.

8.      Experience developing innovative educational programs and solutions preferred.
