Your Role
As a Processing Operations Engineer, you’ll drive process optimization, lead capital projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and troubleshoot equipment issues. Key responsibilities include:
Process Optimization & Efficiency Improvements
- Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in the batch manufacturing processes.
- Implement solutions to reduce downtime, improve throughput, and optimize kettle utilization.
Capital Projects & Equipment Upgrades
- Lead capital projects to upgrade equipment and automate processes, ensuring projects stay on track with budget and timeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in safety, product quality, and cost efficiency.
Collaboration with Reliability on Equipment Downtime & RCAs
- Partner with the Reliability team to identify root causes of equipment downtime and develop potential solutions to minimize unplanned stoppages.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment issues and drive actionable recommendations for improvement.
Project Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Lead projects involving process optimization, equipment upgrades, and efficiency improvements from concept through implementation.
- Work closely with Quality, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure improvements align with OSHA, GMP, and FDA regulations.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all improvements meet regulatory standards and contribute to a safe working environment.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of changes, improvements, and results to ensure transparency and compliance.
Who We’re Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical).
Experience: 3+ years in manufacturing, process engineering, or equipment reliability.
Skills & Abilities
- Creative problem solver with a focus on practical, real-world solutions.
- Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma and continuous improvement.
- Strong communicator with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to all cross functional parties.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting and process optimization.
- Knowledge of OSHA, GMP, and safety regulations in manufacturing.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
